Main features

Efficient mobile access control system

Experience efficient and secure access processes with ID.mobile: The app uses a virtual ID card that communicates with compatible access readers. Customize the digital employee ID card according to your design requirements. Using this technology, your employees are able to control access via their mobile device and also record times at the terminal.

Connectivity between phones and terminals runs via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology with suitable INTUS terminals from our hardware partner PCS Systemtechnik. This technology is renowned for its energy efficiency and high level of security.

  • Low energy consumption: This saves the battery life of the operating device.
  • Advanced encryption technology: BLE can meet even high security requirements.
  • Wide device compatibility: Most modern smartphones support BLE, giving you flexibility in device selection.

Your benefits

Benefit from access control on your smartphone

High user-friendliness

Eliminate the need for physical cards or transponders: Access is granted using the device that your employees usually always have with them.

Efficient access

Mobile access control turns the end device into a universal tool. At the same time, you save costs that would be generated by managing and creating physical authentication cards.

Seamless integration

The app integrates seamlessly into the GFOS software as well as your existing terminal infrastructure. It can be used as a supplement or stand-alone.

Improve security

The badge data is stored using AES-128 encryption providing a high level of security for your business.

In use

Full flexibility for your access control

By combining GFOS.Access Control and ID.mobile, you can manage company ID cards on your employees' end devices. Parallel use of classic ID media such as transponders or cards is also supported. Not everyone wants to use a mobile access control app - the parallel use of both authentication systems provides a practical solution.

Enable keyless access

Thanks to offline capability and seamless GFOS integration, the risk of forgetting ID cards in your company is reduced significantly. Employees carry their smartphones with them and are therefore more flexible. You can also transfer digital company ID cards to new authorized persons remotely. The presence of both persons is not required. In addition to the badge number, no sensitive data is stored on the smartphone for maximum security.

FAQ
What is Bluetooth Low Energy?

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a wireless communication technology that was specially developed for short distances. The technology is characterized by low energy consumption. This makes it ideal for applications in which devices such as smartphones or wearables need to communicate over longer periods of time with minimal battery consumption. BLE not only supports data transmission, but also secure connections using advanced encryption methods. The technology enables a secure and energy-efficient solution for wireless communication between devices, e.g. for mobile access control systems.

What are the requirements for using access control via smartphone?

The prerequisite for using access control on a cell phone is the use of GFOS 4.8plus or higher with an active access control or time tracking module. A terminal connection via the modular communication interface is also required.

What are the system requirements for using the BLE Access Control system?

To be able to use the Bluetooth Low Energy app ID.mobile in combination with the GFOS software, you need a smartphone with Android 8 or higher or iOS 12 or higher. Your device must also support Bluetooth 4.0. In addition, your company must be using ID.mobile-compatible time recording terminals and access readers as well as the INTUS ACM80e access manager - each with the latest firmware versions. You can find more information on GFOS software requirements on our system requirements page.
